Classes

Beginners and Novice Muay Thai Kickboxing

This class is divided into Beginner and Novice and will introduce new participants to the fundamentals of Muay Thai kickboxing. Beginner is for those doing their 1st to 3rd (sometimes more) classes, and covers  fighting stance, basic movement, jab, cross, and right and left swing kicks, and the proper use of Thai pads. Novice is for those with a good understanding of Beginner (usually 4th classes+). Adding to the basics of Beginner, Novice introduces hooks, uppercuts, push kicks, knees and elbows, and the use of these techniques in various combinations.  Participants are encouraged to stay in this level until they have developed a solid foundation of the basics, and the instructors will determine if the participant is ready to move up to the next level.

Prerequisites

None, as this is where all new people will start.

Equipment Needed

None. If you have your own boxing gloves and handwraps, you can bring that, otherwise you can borrow a class set. It is advisable that if you continue after your first class, you should look into getting your own handwraps and boxing gloves for hygenic reasons.
